Package Design : Chinese Lettering Set

This was my second work of package design for Chinese letterling set. This was pretty small project. When I was working on it I didn't feel that way at all but after I took several shots for design report for my professor it wasn't look awesome. However I am a kind of person who can be proud of myself and my work so I am ok with this. Because I made a decision about the concept and I was successful at visualising.

When you google about chinese letter or paintings you will see variety of grays. Personally since I am Korean, I don't like calling that kind of letters and paintings with Chinese, no offence, because we had black ink tradition and culture. It is say universe only familiar with work Chinese than Korean. It is shame. Anyway back to my story about gray colours. I think the appearance of gray colours on white blank paper is the most fascinationg part. So, I had desire to do something with this idea.

Sometimes from movies or other TV show, it is not hard to find some foriengers having Korean or Chinese letter tattos. One day, one of my friends just had a tatto so I asked her if she knew what that word mean. She had no idea even she picked that one of her will. I got playful so I said that means killing in some way. That was family in fact. From this episode what I really want to say is I guess some people has fantasy about forien letters. I thought using characters for art work that will turn out to be something.
